2014-2023 Security PIN Procedure

  1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
  2. Toggle the kill switch: ON, OFF, ON, OFF, leave ON.
  3. Press the left turn signal twice and the right turn signal once.
  4. The first PIN digit will begin flashing.
  5. Use the left signal to change the flashing number.
  6. Use the right signal to advance to the next digit.
  7. Turn the kill switch OFF and the ignition OFF to save.

2014-2023 Entering Your Security PIN

  1. Turn the ignition ON (do not start the bike).
  2. Press and hold the left turn signal until ENTER PIN appears.
  3. Use the left turn signal to cycle through numbers.
  4. Use the right turn signal to enter the selected digit and move to the next position.
  5. Repeat until all PIN digits are entered.

2014-2023 Transport (Travel) Mode

  1. Place the bike on the kickstand.
  2. Turn the ignition ON, then OFF before the security lamp goes out.
  3. Press both turn signals simultaneously.
  4. When the turn signals flash, Transport Mode is active.

2014-2023 Diagnostic Mode

  1. Set the Run/Stop switch to RUN.
  2. Press and hold the Trip button.
  3. Turn the ignition ON (do not start the bike).
  4. Release the Trip button when DIAG appears.
  5. Use the Trip button to cycle through: ECM, BCM, SPDO, ABS, RAD.
  6. Press and hold the Trip button to enter a module.
  7. Continue using the Trip button to view diagnostic codes.
  8. Clear a code by pressing and holding the Trip button when applicable.

2024 and Later Models (Skyline OS) PIN Procedure

  1. Ensure your key FOB is present and detected by the motorcycle.
  2. Turn the ignition ON.
  3. Navigate to Settings > System > System Info > Change Security PIN.
  4. Enter and confirm your new 5-digit Security PIN.
  5. Save the changes and verify the new PIN before riding.

Important Note: Know Your PIN

  • The key FOB battery dies.
  • The key FOB is lost.
  • The FOB cannot be detected.

To find or change your PIN, you must have a working FOB present.

Recommendation: Have the FOB on the bike to find the PIN, then practice starting the bike by keeping your FOB at a distance away from your bike so it isn’t detected.
